About us

The Forged Engineered Products (FEP) business areas of Union Electric Steel specializes in the production of ingot and open die forged products, serving the following markets: heavy manufacturing, energy, construction and mining, transportation, and consumer and medical products.  

In July 2015, UES acquired the business and assets of Alloys Unlimited & Processing, Inc. (“AUP”), a distributor of specialty tool, alloy, and carbon steel round bar and blocks. In November of 2016, UES commissioned its newly constructed heat treat facility located adjacent to the melt and forging operations in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. 

These additions are just a part of our overall strategy to be a fully integrated custom forging and tool steel supplier.
